One of Big Brother Mzansi’s most loved couples, Sweet Guluva (real name Akhonamathemba Mbele) and Ashley Ogle, have officially gone their separate ways.
Ashley, who hails from Durban, revealed the news during an interview with Lasizwe on the Drink or Tell The Truth podcast.
“He Ended Things” – Ashley Speaks Out
Speaking candidly, Ashley said the breakup came as a shock.
“Sweet Guluva was the one who ended it. I had to go along with it because there was nothing I could do. I love Sweet Guluva and I’m still his biggest fan, but the person I don’t love is Akhonamathemba. Sweet Guluva loved me, but Akhonamathemba didn’t love me the way I wanted,” she explained.
She added that there were no warning signs:
“It’s been about a month now. I tried to get answers from him, but I failed. Honestly, there was no big fight or anything. He just told me he was busy with work.”
Dreams That Didn’t Align
Ashley suggested that while Sweet Guluva inside the Big Brother house had big plans for their relationship, Akhonamathemba outside the show had different intentions.
“After the show, he didn’t want to discuss our relationship publicly, but he confirmed we were dating. I think that’s where it became clear our goals didn’t align,” she said.

News of the split left many BBMzansi fans heartbroken. On social media, supporters expressed sadness but wished Ashley happiness and growth.
Sweet Guluva, originally from Nquthu, has not yet commented on the matter.
