Former president and MK Party leader Jacob Zuma has accused former secretary-general Floyd Shivambu of betrayal after he launched the new political movement, Mayibuye.

Speaking at a gathering of MK members in the Free State, Zuma expressed disappointment that Shivambu had broken away despite being one of the people he trusted most.

Zuma: “Black People Must Not Fight Each Other”

Zuma criticised black intellectuals who, he said, look down on others simply because they can speak English. He warned that such divisions only weaken black South Africans in their struggle for power.

“We can’t be duped and fight each other. Our goal is to remove white people from positions of power. We want to reclaim our land and resources as a united people,” Zuma told supporters.

He also argued that traditional leaders had managed societies more peacefully than current governments, blaming today’s leadership for rising violence and instability.

MK Gains Momentum in Free State

The MK Party celebrated a significant increase in membership in the Free State during Zuma’s visit. Addressing new recruits, Zuma said they had made the right choice by joining his movement.

“MK is the only party attracting new members in such large numbers. Others are failing to achieve what we have done today,” Zuma declared.
